Here to say I finally tried the Birria Queso Tacos I chose to do so at #MexicoTipico and I was NOT disappointed. 10/10 on the tacos, the flavor of the beef (I think it was beef) was so good! It was juicy and tender‼ The best food is always so MESSY! And I’m here for it .. it’s a hole in the wall, it has a drive through and they sell breakfast .. I’ll be BACK! If you haven’t tried it #murfreesboro GET THERE ‼ The quantity and quality was alright by me food is my happy place
Came here on Good Friday, April 18 around 8pm. Drive into parking lot next to a motel. It was packed. Lots of work trucks there so you know this is a great place for the everyday people. A hidden gem. Fast service! Order at the counter and seat yourself. Comfy booths in rows. It feels very authentic. How would I know, I'm just a white girl. The Birria tacos were amazing! Never had one before. They are crispy and juicy at the same time. They are also messy and definitely greasy but in a good pizza kind of way. Lots of flavor!
We tried Mexico Tipico tonight. Great tasting food. Quick service. Order at the counter, I suggest ready over the menu before you go in. The menu is a picture board, but the food is delicious. You grab your drinks and go sit down and in a few minutes your meal is served. It was really busy inside and lots of take out orders I also saw. We will definitely be back.
Love this place! So authentic in every way! very friendly employees there and they never forget their regulars! Their menu is huge with a variety of choices to pick from for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our most favorite dish here is the Birria Tacos! This morning we ate breakfast here and it was so good. This is a place to go if you’re wanting something different and yry something with more authenticity
I’ve been to México Típico Restaurante many times for breakfast and those incredible Birra Tacos and breakfast Burritos but this was my first time for dinner. Dined with a friend and we had a wide variety of food from Sopa de Albondigas (meatball soup), Mulitas Carnitas, Sopes Spicy Pork, and Carne Asada. Everything was really good, portions are huge, and the meals arrived hot. The Sopes was OK neither of us cares for the tortilla part. They were extremely busy but from placing your order at the register you had your food within 10 minutes. Great food, not expensive, and they take your order quickly and deliver your food fast!
2024 REVIEW - Love the updated dining/sitting area BUT PLEASE give those bathrooms some TLC! The ladies room desperately needs it, one stall STILL doesn't even have a toilet seat. I'm surprised it's so unkept considering the remodel/update. It's been 11 months since my last visit, and although there are a few new faces in the staff the food is still spot on. The chiles rellenos were large and filling. Sopes were fantastic as usual. The sopa de res, large and delicious The roasted chicken leg meal was fantastic too! Would still recommend a visit! 2023 REVIEW - WOW, WOW, WOW!! What an amazing authentic Mexican establishment! We were in the area looking to dine at another restaurant however they were closed, so we popped into Mexico Tipico. What a great choice it turned out to be! 1st of all, they offer the best tasting Champurrado (think hot chocolate but much better) in Middle Tennessee i have yet to find! It's everything it needs to be and hits all the spots in your belly and soul to give you that cozy, warm feeling. It was a cold fall night so we were on the hunt for some soup - my husband tried the birria soup, it was one of the best he's ever had, it was beaming with authentic flavors, it is served with tortillas and the portion was huge, the price was great too! I went with the sopa de res (beed soup) the flavors are omg so yummy, all the vegetables were tender and the broth was very well seasoned, it's served with a small portion of rice and cilantro, fresh diced onions and jalapeños and tortillas, very large portion and priced fair as well. The kids ordered chicken tacos - they enjoyed the flavor of sauce the chicken is cooked in, and it was served with spicy pickled carrots. We've been back 3x since our initial visit with friends - we've tried the al pastor tacos, the asada, the lengua, barbacoa & carnitas all have been consistently flavorful and portions are good for the price. Some other items we tried and have enjoyed were the mulitas, sopes, asada fries & quesadillas. The house hot sauces are fantastic too! Although the guacamole was flavorful and chunky, i felt the portion was not fair for the price charged. Truly my only food complaint. Another complaint is the bathrooms, they are in desperate need of TLC, one of the women's stalls doesn't even have a seat, and the smell emanating from the pipes is very strong and awful. Would absolutely recommend dining in over take out, sit down, and enjoy your hot meal. Went back a few days later and tried out some breakfast options, of course they knocked it out of the park on that too. My favorite hearty breakfast is the chilaquiles!
BEST QUESABIRRIA OF MY LIFE!!!! It was so bomb I’m still thinking about it the next day. Will be returning to explore the rest of the menu
